Merchant Trick or Treat Information for NowMap
Dear San Francisco Merchants Association, Please send us your Trick or Treat information for each of your merchant streets so we can add them to NowMap. See Sacramento Street's Annual Trick or Treat for an example of how we can help you promote. We are hoping to update our map by Wednesday, before our big publicity push with local radio, news and Moms/parents groups. NowMap provides local merchants with FREE publicity and visibility, even if nearby users don't follow each merchant on other social media. Our mission is to help local merchants compete better with online and drive more customers to stores by allowing merchants to publicize in-store events, sales, new merchandise arrivals and more. Please email or call me if you have any questions: email@example.com 415 309 8196 We hope to have as many San Francisco merchants listed on our Halloween map as possible! Best, Susanne Losch, NowMap
World Series Public Safety Update
The City and County of San Francisco has a plan to ensure that any celebrations that follow a possible San Francisco Giants win [editor's note: or loss?] remain peaceful. The San Francisco Police Department will have a strong uniformed presence in the Mission District and other areas that experienced issues in the past. The Police Department will monitor pedestrian and vehicular traffic. The Police Department will partner with the Department of Public Works to empty trash bins. Additionally, the Department of Public Works is working with Recology to reach out to merchants to have his or her garbage out by 6 p.m. and picked up at that time. The San Francisco MTA will have parking control officers to keep traffic moving. SFMTA will also de-energize some of its overhead lines and reroute buses around any problem area. Here is what merchants can do to ensure they prepare for any celebration: If you have not been contacted by Recology to have your trash picked up by 6 p.m., do not place your trash cans out until the celebrations have concluded Secure any items you may have outside your business (such as tables, chairs or merchandise) prior to and following the game In an emergency, please call 9-1-1. If you have a non-emergency, please call 415-553-0123 If any merchant has any other questions or concerns, you can reach me via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or my personal cell phone at (510) 579-8222. I will be available before, during and after the game. Manish Goyal, Program Manager
