Help us celebrate Lesbian Visibility Week in the Castro with some great public art!

Staff and advisory board members of the Castro LGBTQ Cultural District are proud to share that we will celebrate completion of our new mural on Friday, April 25, 2025 at 4:30pm in front of the parking lot entrance behind Walgreens (4116 18th Street between Castro & Collingwood streets).

The new mural is named LIVING LESBIAN LEGENDS and it’s by Tanya Wischerath. The Castro LGBTQ Cultural District commissioned the artwork and paid for expenses related to closing the parking lot (more than $5,600) for the mural to be painted. Tanya’s new mural is based on the painting series she did for the district last year.
