Rainbow Flag Donation Program
The Castro Merchants Association is excited to announce a new initiative: The Rainbow Flag Donation Program.
This program aims to celebrate the globally recognized symbol of LGBTQ+ pride and unity, the Gilbert Baker Rainbow Flag that flies at Harvey Milk Plaza, by donating it to organizations that align with the principles of equality, diversity, and inclusivity. By extending the influential Gilbert Baker Rainbow Flag's spirit, the Castro Merchants Association strives to ignite a continued journey towards a more inclusive world.
About the Gilbert Baker Rainbow Flag
Designed in 1978 at the request of Harvey Milk, the 20ft by 30ft Gilbert Baker Rainbow Flag serves as a powerful symbol of the LGBTQ+ rights movement and the Castro neighborhood's pivotal role in it.
